Already Have a Website? Options:
To be able to use the hosting capabilities and video tools, you need to deploy the video website on this compatible hosting account. Options:
1) If this is a new website or project without lots of users and data, we recommend starting from a clean setup: our staff can setup a clean new WP with solution and you can bring your theme, plugins and import data (you previously export from Tools > Export backend menu in old WP site).
2) If you already have an established site with active users, you can copy it to the new hosting account. See how to in hosting info. cPanel accounts can be copied automatically and rest of sites by copying files and data.
Warning: Installation copy may require configuration/reinstallation for some plugins for items to match new hosting settings and installation path. Unless you have active site users or other data that can not be imported later, it is recommended to start from a clean new WP setup where you can bring your theme, plugins, content and customizations later.
3) You can setup a new stand alone installation, in addition to your existing site.
– Use a subdomain on existing site for the solution by pointing it to IP using A records, from current web host.

Warning: Having 2 WP installations means your users will need to register and login on each site to use the features available there, unless you use some plugin to sync logins.
* Account Import/Copy From Another Host
– If you have a previous cPanel account you want transferred, submit a ticket / open a conversation with previous hosting details and our staff will attempt to transfer it with all contents.
Include cPanel URL & credentials (if previous host still available) or provide a complete backup file (generated from cPanel) or a cpmove file, either by URL or by uploading with FTP to existing account on new server (accessible by IP until you point a domain/subdomain).
– Most data can be copied from any type of accessible web hosting, even when using different control panel than CPanel:
+ You will need to backup and download your files and sql data to your computer. Or make it accessible by web (move to public_html) and provide URL to our staff to download.
+ Upload files to new server by FTP or CPanel file manager (accessible by IP until you point a domain/subdomain).
+ Extract files from archives using File Manager from cPanel to https://docs.cpanel.net/cpanel/files/file-manager/ : Right-click files – Extract .
+ Create a new database from CPanel with MySQL Wizard https://docs.cpanel.net/cpanel/databases/mysql-database-wizard/ and import your SQL data there with phpMyAdmin https://docs.phpmyadmin.net/en/latest/import_export.html also available in cPanel.
+ Adjust installation (wp-config.php for WP) to use new mysql user, database as created with Wizard.

* Copy an Existing WordPress Website, without cPanel
While new WordPress installations and and transfer of cPanel accounts can be done automatically, moving a site from a host without cPanel involves manual steps.

If you want to move a WordPress site from WordPress.com to the fully compatible hosting account with CPanel, you can export your current site content and then point domain to new hosting.
If you have posts/pages with attachments, you will need to previously configure old installation for access by old hostname or IP, to later download attachments from there after domain is pointed to new host, or manually download and add to new site.
– For Godaddy managed WP, export files and SQL:
Export files from My Product > Managed WordPress > Select your site – Manage. Get your SFTP credentials from right Settings pane to connect with a FTP client and download.
Export SQL from My Products > Managed WordPress > Select your site – Manage. In phpMyAdmin from right Settings pane > Export > Select your DB and download.
– You can also use a WordPress migration plugin to generate archive, export SQL, transfer:

* Website migration depends on previous hosting, its control panel and access type available to previous data. VideoWhisper uses WHM/CPanel and can provide automated migration using that system. For other control panels manual migration is usually required and steps depend on previous host.
VideoWhisper staff may not have experience / expertise with your previous hosting type so it’s best to use a webmaster experienced with that host for migration.
If you don’t have experience staff to do the migration, you can provide old hosting details to VideoWhisper to do necessary research and provide an estimate for custom manual migration. Please generate and download a backup before providing access, to secure your data from accidents.
